My name is Gemma and i am 21 years old. I have been a health care assistant for 4 1/2 years now, i currently work for a community care company in wellington somerset. I have my NVQ level 2 in health and social care and lots of training.
I have helped elderly people before, helped cook meals, done cleaning and washing up ect, I can help with reading, talking, and doing shopping. I can also help with eating. I am good with communicating with people and looking after them. I am respectful and have good manners, I am happy to help when needed.
I have been lucky enough to have kept my grandparents for all my life and therefore I've been able to assist them with several things. One grandparent of mine lost a leg and therefore I have been able to adapt and help them cope with it. I also have a disabled uncle so I'm confident I can deal with most situations and complications that may arise. I also used to deliver and pack away shopping for a few elderly people I've done a First Aid course and have a certificate I can show on request.
