I understand that the elderly are not necessarily incapable of taking care of themselves, but more often than not, just need some company, and a helping hand. I looked after my father in law

I have looked after an elderly woman and her elderly husband for being years, taking them shopping, preparing meals, performing household tasks, on an ongoing by basis for many years. Initially her husband needed extra care due to his Alzheimer's, he then passed away leaving his wife alone, I helped her with all her household duties including the managing of her household bills, her weekly shopping and cleaning. In time I had to take on much more responsibility due to her developing dementia.
